Good vs Bad CholesterolEastmed
Everyone knows cholesterol can be harmful to our body but do you know that our body needs a certain amount of cholesterol to keep us healthy?
I get asked by customers frequently about the difference between good and bad cholesterol.
The difference between good and bad cholesterol is that bad cholesterol (LDL) can accumulate in our arteries and blood vessels and eventually damage the heart. However, good cholesterol (HDL) is responsible for transporting excess bad cholesterol from the blood back to the liver, where it is broken down and passed out of the body.
Ideally you need to keep your bad cholesterol (LDL) as low as possible (L = Low) and your good cholesterol (HDL) as high as possible (H = High).
